It is Peach Season and those beautiful Georgia Peaches are the sweetest, juiciest peaches ever! So when they are plentiful, we find different ways to use them before the season is over.
This is the one I tried. As our weather for the next 9 days looks like this.
We added some fresh peaches and mint.
Now that is a tasty Iced Tea with No Sugar! And it just so happens that I have a Peach Scone Recipe that I’m going to share with you.
2 cups of All Purpose Flour ( I have made this with rice flour also)
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/4 cup of Sugar
1 Tsp. ground nutmeg
1 Tbsp. baking powder
6 Tbsp. cold butter
1/3 cup Sour Cream
1/2 tsp. Almond Extract
1 cup of fresh peaches, diced
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Whisk together flour, salt,sugar,nutmeg and baking powder. cut in the butter. In a separate bowl mix eggs, sour cream, almond extract and whisk together. Stir this mixture into the dry mixture and combine. Drop about a quarter cup on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cook about 16 minutes. Enjoy!
