This is the seventh in the Tourist Trap Mystery series from best seller, Lynn Chaoon.
Set in South Cove, California, and starring Jill Gardner, owner of Coffee, Books, and More. The town is getting ready for the big Summer Beach Blast Party where Jill and her merry band of workers will park the food truck version of the store and do double duty running back and forth.
And now there is a new face in town. Kathi is planning on opening Tee Hee just across the street from Jill’s store. Although there won’t be any tea served at Kathi’s shop, just all things tea related.
When a body is found out at the local no tell motel, Jill starts to wonder how much of what their new resident is saying is true. And when more strangers start to show up things start to get interesting. However she has enough on her plate. Money is missing from the store, the newest bank teller is a total loss, and her detective boyfriend would prefer she stay out of trouble.Make no mistake, we are big fans of Ms. Cahoon’s cosy mysteries and in saying that I have to say this one wasn’t my favorite.
It felt rushed and not pulled together. We all have off days. And we are deep into the newest Cat Latimer Series book at the moment and we love Cat and her Writers Retreat series.
Winter may be making a play in our neck of the woods, so we have stocked up on tea and mysteries just in case.
