I promised I would share this one so here it is!Herb-scented shortbread cookie recipes (sage, lemon-thyme, rosemary, lemon-lime basil, lemon lavender):

The recipe makes about 6 dozen or so. Oven at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes. Very light golden color.

1 cup of fresh lemon-basil leaves ( If you can’t find the lemon-basil, just basil will do!)

13/4 cup of granulated sugar, divided

1 pound of butter, softened

1 Large egg

1/4 cup lemon juice

6 cups of All purpose Flour

Get your oven pre-heating to 350 degrees! Β Grab your food processor and the basil with 1/4 cup of the sugar.

Beat the butter at medium with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add remaining 1 1/2 cups of sugar, beating well. Add the lemon juice and egg, beat until blended.

Shape the dough into 1 inch balls and place about 2 inches apart on parchment lined baking sheets. Flatten slightly with bottom of Β a glass, dipped in sugar. Β Bake until light golden color. Cool and enjoy with a nice cup of Earl Grey Tea!
