THANKFUL, GRATEFUL AND BLESSED

It’s Friday! I don’t know about you but I am so happy it is Friday. The teacher strike may be over or at least most of the teachers will go back on Monday. So after 2 weeks of Spring Break and 2 weeks of walkouts, these kids need to get back to school!

We finished the move last night. It was really hot out yesterday mixed with 40 plus mph winds. Which made things a little more difficult. I felt like Mary Poppins a few times. My duty was mainly to stay at the new place and tell people where to put things. And watch the 5 and 7-year-old. Today they are off to Dallas for the weekend to see Kendrick Lamar.

I didn’t sleep at all last night which explains why I’m on here so early. A new bed and new sounds mixed with forgetting my allergy meds led to no sleep. Hoping for a nap today. The winds are still horrible and wildfires have been burning like crazy to the north and south of us. So much damage and loss of property and livestock.

Now comes the task of unpacking stuff. So I’m going to go make a big pot of tea and either start that or fall asleep! Today we are truly thankful, grateful and feeling blessed.

Can’t wait to catch up with everyone’s blog!

xx Patricia

It’s raining hard here…after the summer fires of last year, my heart goes out to your neighbours…the weather is more unpredictable these days but thank goodness, there is tea! My Mom gave me some new tea sachets to sample, Stash’s Sunny Orange Ginger…glad to hear that you are settling in!
